There has been a rapid spike in coronavirus cases throughout the U.S., especially in states that have reopened. There is talk of some states shutting down again, but many are trying to figure out a way to stay open. The death toll has reached 120,000 and the number of cases nationwide is over 2.1 million. There is a new drug that has been found to have some effect in treating the symptoms of coronavirus. It’s a steroid that was already on the market, which means it can be used faster if it is proven to be safe and effective. The president had a campaign rally in Tulsa, OK and word got out that 6 of his staffers that were orchestrating the event and 2 of his secret service agents tested positive for the virus. Many health officials are saying that this isn’t even the predicted “second wave” of cases, but simply an extension of the first one. I wonder what it’ll be like to live with this for the next couple of months, year, or maybe more.
