After all my classwork was complete, my grandpa opted to build a bonfire. He had a bunch of files that needed to be burnt, and Marcy and I were not going to deny the sweet taste of roasted marshmallows. So, after dinner, Marcy and I put on our hiking boots and went around the woods picking up pinecones and dried up straw and placed it into our bonfire set. Once the fire was up in flames, we threw the files in one by one as I set up everyone's marshmallows onto their skewers. As we roasted the marshmallows, I told my grandparents about the life of Tecumseh, if they were listening, I don't know, but Marcy was.

I was doing work all day, sadly. I had a chance to go fishing down at the dock, but I don't have my licenses, and I can't go get one because everything is closed. Nevertheless, I planned to finish two of my papers today, which I did.

I got my blue light glasses today for my schoolwork. Most of my days consist of my staring at my computer screen, watching lectures, or typing papers, and I have experienced eye strains because of it. My vision has been getting a little worst, and I am having a hard time seeing from far away, so I thought to prevent further damage I ordered these glasses. I love them! They make everything slightly yellowy, but they filter out the blue light from my laptop, and they have 100% UV protection.

This is one moment when I will say online school is horrible. I had an oral presentation due, and my outline was 4-5 pages long of information. The presentation had to be five minutes. I knew my topic, and I knew it well. When I tried to videotape myself on my laptop, I kept tripping over my words, or I felt like I didn't say enough nor what I wanted. Finally, after 10 times and a break, I came back in, turn on my laptop camera, and just started going without any precautions, and finally, I did it!

My grandma found two whole gallons of paint that we used to paint the ceilings upstairs. On a whim, she decided that we are going to paint the downstairs living room that color. So, when I woke up half of the objects and furniture was in the middle of the room and plastic and newspaper was sprawled everywhere. Once everyone was awake, we started on our project. My grandma and my grandpa would tape off the molding and paint around it. I would do the top portion of the wall because Marcy is deathly afraid of height, and instead, she opted to do the lower half of the walls.

While juggling some of my schoolwork, I helped my grandma move back furniture in their position around the living room as well as painting and pictures on the wall. Marcy and I decided to make cookies with whatever we could find. We decided to use the chocolate from our Easter bunny, because we are out of chocolate morsels and plan not to go to the store soon, and walnuts.

I did mostly work yesterday, trying to finish one of my education classes. I had to finish up a few papers, but luckily enough, I have a film studies class, and in order to be done with that, I need to write an essay on a western movie. So, after I got done with my education class papers, Marcy and I had a movie night and watched the Ballad of Buster Scruggs. We found some popcorn to pop, and we both sat down and watched it.
1) How are things going for you?
Cabin fever has undoubtedly set in. I would not say that I have purely experienced it until now. I feel that I have done everything that could possibly be done in a house.
2) Describe your work, noting if there was anything of particular interest:
3) Has anything changed since the previous week? If so what? How do you think and/or feel about these changes?
As said earlier cabin fever is undoubtedly set in. I thought that I was doing fine like last week, but it is getting more frustrating. Everyone in my family feels this way, and to get out, we may go to a strawberry farm and pick strawberries.
4) Have you been following local news about COVID-19 or other important stories? If so, what developments were there? What did learn about these events make you think and/or feel?
My grandma told me in the paper that Greenwood’s COVID-19 cases went from 15 to 35 in one day because a lab here decided to hide that they have had an outbreak at their facility. I don’t understand why someone, or some lab would put there workers at risk but because of that many other are now at risk. I am grateful that we are only at 35 cases unlike Greenville who is over 400.
5) Have you been following national or international news about COVID-19 or other important stories? If so, what developments were there? What did learn about these events make you think and/or feel?
It has been almost a month since the first death from COVID -19 in the US. Officials are saying that there are 700,000 known cases of COVID-19 in the US and they speculate that it is much more. Due to the range and severity of symptoms they suspect that there has been more than a million people infected with the virus and did not know or brushed it off as a cold. This news gave me mixed emotions. One aspect I fear that many more are infected and give me a since that I should keep restricting myself from going out. On another side of it I am glad that not all these cases are terribly deadly and that if I do get infected, I hope for it to be a cold like experience.
6) Is there anything else you would like to add?
