Monday: At this point in time, COVID-19 is perhaps one of the last things on my mind. With almost everything reopened and life carrying on as normal as it can, and very importantly with the recent issues of racism and police brutality sweeping the nation (and world) in protest; the pandemic is just not as much of a focus as it used to be in the early months. I do worry, however, that another wave will come of COVID-19 and that it will be even worse. Looking at history, pandemics do seem to last for years and come in many waves.
Yesterday me and my girlfriend went to Table Rock State Park here in South Carolina. We have a very adventurous time there! SC State Parks have limits of how many people can be at the parks at a time during COVID-19, but we made it perfectly in time to enjoy ourselves. All the rangers and park staff were wearing masks.
Tuesday: I was off of work today. We relaxed, and it was a nice sunny day.
Wednesday: I worked 7:15 AM to 11:15 AM. Short shift! Nothing much to add here. There are protests all over the nation and even here in Greenville, South Carolina over the murder of George Floyd. Greenville protests, and I see back in Greenwood too, were peaceful.
Thursday: I worked 6:45 AM to 2:30 PM today. A very nice customer gave us all home-made masks! That was very sweet of her and we all appreciated it. Oh, and today was my birthday! I turned 21.
Friday: I was off today. Chilled most of the day, then later that my girlfriend and I went out to celebrate my birthday which was yesterday. The restaurant we went to had tables spaced out for social distancing, and then we went to Dave and Buster’s in Greenville and they had certain games closed so to space out people. Also, certain games had signs telling you to only play with your group.
Saturday: Busy day today. Went to my girlfriends’ nephew’s baseball game, then we drove around for hours looking at houses. Went to two restaurants today and both were practicing social distancing.
Sunday: Did nothing today, but it was a good day.
