Monday: Starting today restaurants can re-open (with certain precautions in place to practice social distancing and such) and other business too.

Tuesday: Nothing to really note here. We did go out shopping and certain stores still choose to be closed, but some are open. Ross for example was closed at my location, but TJ Maxx was open.

Wednesday: We took my girlfriends mother out for a late mother’s days lunch. This was the first time in awhile that we actually were able to sit down as a restaurant! It felt kind of weird at first, but it was a really good time. The restaurant practiced social distancing and the employees wore masks. I want to be truthfully honest with my feelings about the situation in this log, so I will say that I did not feel unsafe while going out to dine-in at a restaurant.

Thursday: I worked today. To correct my last weeks log, I found out that stores will start closing at 9 starting this Saturday at Publix stores. Starting this coming Monday more businesses will be able to open again, I believe this includes hair salons.

Friday: I worked today. For my shift I sanitized carts for four hours. There are three jobs at my store that involve sanitation. 1. Sanitize the store, sanitize the front of the store near the registers, and sanitize carts. Perhaps my least favorite is sanitizing front end because it is boring (like all of the jobs) and that you are in front of everyone and can’t keep to yourself like the other jobs.

Saturday: Today, I believe, is the day that Publix stores start closing at 9. As this (pandemic) carries on longer and longer, it seems that honestly people are more leaning towards opening everything back up and get back to normal. I have witnessed this in my own family. Whereas at the start of this pandemic it was concerning, but as time went on we’ve just carried on our day to day as normal as possible. Sometimes its hard to believe that there is a pandemic (even though just to note here I 100% believe that it is serious), but given the honest truth my day to day hasn’t changed all too much besides some work policy changes and certain other things. I hope another wave dose not come, but we will only know if it does happen when it has happened.

Sunday: Nothing really to note here. It was a beautiful weekend, and I had a good time at home. I do not really work weekends anymore, so it is nice to have that time.
